The entry was yet again disappointing - and mainly German, as the British press commented. Gelo had brought his two usual cars, Schornstein had drafted Dören in, and there were some more 935’s present. On the Group 6 front, Joest was dominant and he won the race without problem, winning with four laps in hand over Ickx/Wollek/Schurti with Schornstein third.
