The BMWs did not have to fear the Zakspeed Escorts here: one of them was too badly damaged to race here, the other one broke its gearbox. When Facetti/Finotto retired with fuel feed problems, there were only two BMW’s left and they finished in the order Grano/Joosen ahead of Xhenceval/Dieudonné/van Hove with the Austrian 530 BMW as third and the British Ronnie Scott’s Escort fourth.
