A five-way fight for the lead opened the day for the touring cars; three DKW’s and two BMW’s. They stayed together for eight laps, then Oskamp fell back and the group disintegrated into two pairs: Jonker-Koster fought for the lead, Dudok van Heel-Frederikse for third. Jonker won by a very narrow margin with Koster second, and both drivers claiming the championship in their class.
Team play deprived van der Feer of second place in the 1000 cc championship; Swart sacrificed his 38-second lead over van Osch, waving him through to finish first and claim second place in the championship.
The big cars provided spectacle again; Loos and Koster had a tough fight for the championship,and finally Loos went by, with Koster having trouble with his engine’s temperature - in the end he was passed by Chiotakis (1600 Alfa) to finish third, with Loos winning and clinching the championship in his first full season.
