Impreza zaliczana do mistrzostw Francji Grand Touring ze startem i metą w Bastii. Na dystansie 1314km rozegrano 9 sekcji (odcinków specjalnych) na asfaltowej nawierzchni o długości 213,7 km. Rajd przebiegał w deszczu i mgle. Początkowo prowadzenie objął Henry Greder (Ford Mustang). Później jednak do głosu zaczęły dochodzić nowe samochody Renault 8 Gordini za kierownicami których zasiadali: Vinatier,Consten,Melot,Santonacci i Feret. Po etapie La Porta prowadzenie objął Melot, szybko wyprzedzony przez Vinatiera. W międzyczasie próbował coś namieszać Orsini (Alpine Renault), ale dosyć szybko odpadł z rywalizacji. Ostatecznie rajd wygrał Vinatier przed Rollandem w niezwykle szybkiej Alfie Romeo TZ. Ogromny sukces zanotowały debiutujące w rajdzie Renault 8 Gordini. Aż cztery modele tej firmy zmieściły się w pierwszej piątce.
